A round table was held at the Directorate of Protection of Ferghana region with the participation of personnel, representatives of the regional Traffic Safety Department and specialists from the Ferghana City Drug Treatment Dispensary.

The participants discussed recent changes in the Rules of the Road, analyzed in detail the key aspects of safe driving and typical causes of traffic accidents. Special attention was paid to the mandatory requirements: strict observance of the speed limit, categorical refusal to drive vehicles in a state of intoxication, the operation of exclusively serviceable cars, as well as the need for constant vigilance on the road.

The specialists of the narcological dispensary provided detailed information on the effect of psychoactive substances on the psychophysiological reactions of the driver. They clearly demonstrated how alcohol and drug use reduces the ability to concentrate, slows down the reaction and distorts the perception of the traffic situation, which ultimately greatly increases the risk of accidents.

At the end of the event, an active dialogue took place: the staff asked the specialists all the questions they were interested in, and the experts provided detailed explanations, accompanied by specific examples from practice and references to current regulations.

The round table not only updated the participantsʼ knowledge of modern traffic regulations, but also contributed to the formation of a more responsible attitude towards road safety issues. Such meetings help strengthen the culture of safe driving behavior and reduce the risk of accidents.
