In connection with December 1 — World AIDS Day — a round table was held under the motto “We Are Against AIDS.”

A meeting dedicated to World AIDS Day was held at the Department of Protection of Samarkand city, under the motto “We Are Against AIDS.” Speakers at the round table, which included department employees and personnel, noted that the spread of HIV is often linked to high-risk behaviors such as drug use, unprotected sexual activity, and other unhealthy lifestyle choices. Such actions can lead to serious consequences for a person’s health and future, including HIV infection and the development of life-threatening diseases.

It was emphasized that these negative factors often result in the breakdown of families, the suffering of innocent children, and premature deaths. Specialists from the Regional AIDS Prevention Center provided detailed information on preventive measures and explained how to protect oneself from HIV.

Indeed, a person lives only once. If each individual follows a healthy lifestyle, avoids harmful habits, and works for the well-being of their family and society, they can ensure a healthier and happier life. The choice of the right path depends on each person.
