Literary-educational evenings and intellectual quizzes were organized in Surkhandarya and Jizzak regions with participation of National Guard officers. The events were dedicated to the 584th anniversary of the birth of Alisher Navoi and the 542nd anniversary of the birth of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur.
During the events, the speakers emphasized the special role of the creative and scientific heritage of the great ancestors for the development not only of the Uzbek people, but also of world literature and culture.
Then, intellectual games “Zakovat” were held between servicemen of the National Guard and employees of the Directorate of “Protection”. The teams demonstrated their knowledge by answering questions about the life and works of prominent representatives of Uzbek literature and spirituality. An essay contest was also organized, where participants shared their impressions about the works of great thinkers. At the end of the event, the active participants, winners and prize-winners were awarded with memorable gifts.
Such events promote in-depth study of the rich spiritual heritage of our ancestors.
