The management and officials of the Department of Internal Affairs and the Protection Service of Samarkand region organized regular awareness-raising events among the population. During the meetings, citizens were provided with detailed information about the logistical means of protection and their functionality, as well as the advantages of their use. The issues of the procedure for connecting apartments and facilities to technical security systems were highlighted, prices and conditions of services were explained.

In addition, the participants of the events were shown visual aids illustrating the principle of operation of video surveillance systems and alarm buttons. Organized open dialogues with citizens and representatives of the business community made it possible to provide detailed answers to all the questions that arose.

Separately, explanatory work was carried out on the issues of technical and physical protection of shopping malls located at the Tashkent — Samarkand bus station in Samarkand city, as well as on the prevention of crimes and offenses.

Following the results of the events, specific instructions were given to the responsible persons. They will have to ensure full cameralization of the territory and connect the facilities to the technical protection panel. In addition, it is necessary to take measures to turn this territory into a safe zone for citizens.
