A TRIP TO THE ONLY ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM IN CENTRAL ASIA HAS BEEN ORGANIZED
A few days ago, another trip to the Archaeological Museum was organized for the employees of Termez city department of "Protection" of the Directorate of "Protection" of Surkhandarya region in order to familiarize themselves with the existing historical monuments of the Surkhandarya oasis and organize meaningful leisure of the personnel.
The Archaeological Museum was founded on April 2, 2002 in connection with the 2500 anniversary of the city of Termez. The museum is one of the places where the thousand-year history of the ancient oasis is being revived, and consists of a lobby, 9 main exhibition halls, as well as a numismatic hall, an exhibition hall dedicated to the Japanese archaeologist Kato Kyuso, and a gallery.
The museum also has a library with rare manuscripts and literature. In addition, bronze finds from before the XV century AD, exhibits from the Paleolithic, Mesolithic, Neolithic and Eneolithic periods, ancient Greco-Bactrian culture, samples of the material culture of the Late Bronze and Early Iron eras are stored here.
In the exhibition halls, the staff got acquainted with rare exhibits, historical monuments of our past, the history of Uzbekistan and antiques, while strengthening their knowledge.
