History is the foundation of the future
In order to make use of the free time of the staff of the Directorate of Protection of Kashkadarya region, an excursion to the Museum of Local Lore located in Karshi city was organized.
Kashkadarya Regional Museum of Local Lore is a cultural and educational institution founded in 1975 in Karshi. The museum has an extensive collection of more than 20,000 exhibits, including numismatics, archaeological finds, works of fine and applied art, historical documents, rare manuscripts, books, as well as household and ethnographic items (as of 2005).
The museum is actively engaged in scientific research, replenishes its funds, publishes books and catalogs. One of the most significant publications is the "Catalog of Oriental Manuscripts in the Karshi Museum of Local Lore", which was published in French in Rome and contains information about more than 50 manuscripts.
During the tour, the staff received extensive information about the exhibits, which tell about the distant past of the region.
In addition, a similar trip was organized for employees of the Directorate of Protection of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and their families to the Karateren ethnotouristic complex located in Takhtakupir district. On the territory of the complex you can see authentic buildings and structures that were characteristic of this region many centuries ago. Traditional dwellings, artisan workshops, as well as various outbuildings have been recreated here. Visitors have the opportunity not only to explore the expositions, but also to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the past, participating in various cultural events.
