The women's Boxing World Championship has ended in New Delhi, the capital of India. Our compatriot Navbakhor Khamidova, an employee of Yashnabad district department of "Protection" of the Directorate of "Protection" of Tashkent city, was awarded a bronze medal.

The representative of the national team of Uzbekistan, who competed in the weight category up to 66 kg, lost to Imana Khalif from Algeria in the quarterfinals. However, later the Algerian athlete was disqualified and Khamidova became a semifinalist.

Thus, the women's national team of Uzbekistan wins a world Championship medal for the second year in a row. Recall that at the previous World Championships in Turkey, our compatriots were awarded 2 bronze medals.

It is worth noting that Navbahor Khamidova took an active part in the Asian Championship, held in Jordan in November this year, and won a convincing victory over an athlete from Korea in the weight category up to 66 kg.
