In the modern digital age, cybercrime is an urgent global threat that requires every citizen to have a high level of vigilance and technological literacy. To this end, employees of the Department for Combating Crimes in the field of Information Technology of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Bukhara region organized a series of events on the topic "Cybercrime and cyber hygiene" with the participation of personnel of the Directorate of Protection.
Within the framework of these events, various types of cybercrimes, their negative consequences and effective prevention measures were explained in detail. The participants received practical recommendations on how to protect themselves from fraud on social networks, instant messengers, and email.
Interactive sessions were also held on password security, the use of two-step authentication, and personal data protection rules. Participants were given tips on how to be careful online: do not click on unfamiliar links, avoid interacting with suspicious accounts and accounts of questionable origin.
Particular attention was paid to the importance of regular software updates and the use of antivirus programs to provide additional protection for personal data.
