In order to organize meaningful leisure time for the personnel, an excursion to the Museum of Local Lore was recently held for employees of Department of Protection of Karshi city. It should be noted that the Museum of Local Lore of Kashkadarya region, founded in 1975 in Karshi city, is a cultural and educational institution. The museum has departments of history, folk art, nature, memory and values. The museumʼs collection includes more than 20,000 exhibits of numismatics, archeology, fine and applied arts, historical documents, rare manuscripts, books, household and ethnographic items. In addition, scientific research is conducted here, the collection is replenished, books and catalogs are published. In particular, the Catalog of Oriental Manuscripts of the Karshi Museum of Local Lore, published in French in Rome, and others demonstrating achievements and scientific progress in the economic, social and cultural life of Kashkadarya during the years of independence.
During the tour, the staff learned a lot of new and interesting things about the exhibits that tell about the distant past, and also consolidated their knowledge of the history of their native land.
