BEWARE OF SCAMMERS IN THE VIRTUAL WORLD
New threats related to cyberspace are emerging in the modern global information space. In this regard, the issue of protection against attacks in the virtual world is of serious concern to the world community.
The round table, organized in the Directorate of "Protection" of Tashkent city, was devoted to topical issues of combating crimes committed in cyberspace.
Representatives of other law enforcement agencies, specialists in the field of information technology, media workers took part.
The speakers spoke about the problems arising in the field of information security and the fight against cybercrime, the prospects for providing qualified personnel in this area in the departments of the Security service.
According to experts, more than 500 million cyberattacks are carried out annually in the world, and every second of 12 people becomes a victim of cyber threats.
In Uzbekistan, over the past three years, this type of crime has increased by 8.3 times and currently accounts for about 5% of the total number of crimes. In particular, the theft of other people's funds on plastic cards through illegal banking and financial transactions, the spread of malicious viruses, gambling and risky online games, information attacks aimed at religious fanaticism, fraudulent crimes on the Internet.
